| Naw dude, you still wouldn't be cool enough! LOLI think that works only in certain settings. I also think the guys that do it, do it because they are sure it will fit with their congregations.That said, we have been attending a very good church in Sanford, FL. The pastor dresses like the COG pastor used to dress. Suit and tie and shined shoes.(Yeah of course a suit too). We had a visiting preacher one Sunday. It was a kid in jeans, wearing two shirts, both not tucked in. I think he did a pretty good job, what I could understand. But I was sorta put back when I learned it was the pastor's son.No, JLarry, but acceptance by your Christian brothers and sisters will vary widely at the churches where you preach. and that is a fact!. | different strokes for dispfferent folks. Think about school. Some professors wear ties and some don't. The key is to not make your dress become a distraction or an object of discussion. |
