Post subject: | AussieRain: Prayer for Summer Propes |
Summer is the daughter of Bishop Thomas and Laquita Propes. The following message was posted on their son Matthew Propes's Facebook Page:A statement from my father's office regarding Summer:Last evening Summer was transported via ambulance to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Multiple neurological tests were ordered and are to be completed today. At this point the medical team caring for her has discovered that Summer suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke in the upper right region of her brain, which has left her paralyzed on the left side of her body.Summer suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke to the left temporal lobe of her brain in 2002.Due to the severity of her condition the team has restricted visitors at this time. The Propes request that the World Missions family and the entire Church of God remember Summer and the family in prayer during this medical emergency.Thank you for your prayersWe can count the Acts family in praying for Summer and the Propes family. |

Post subject: | AussieRain: Update |
I've missed the last several updates but here is the latest update from Matthew's Facebook:Just received this from my Dad from the ICU at Erlanger. Update on Summer PropesDay 6:After a turbulent 36 hours and several extremely negative reports from her medical team, today has started with a degree of stability and may I add, renewed hope! Here's what we know now:Her latest CT scan shows no further bleeding or swelling. PTL.Labs/numbers are fairly stable at this point. She seems to be slightly more responsive right now than early this morning. They are doing several more tests right now, and more throughout the day. She/we will stay in ICU for the foreseeable future. Medical team is treating her brain swelling with aggressive meds. We are told she is not a candidate for a third brain surgery. One of her doctors said, We are doing all we can, it's now in God's hands.Actually, it always has been. As a side note, yesterday was Summer's 28th birthday. I promised her as much birthday cake as she could eat and two Chick-fil-a sandwiches, with a side of cole slaw, when she gets home.Thank you all so much for loving Summer. She loves you all as well. Please continue to pray for God to work His perfect plan in her life.Much love to you all!Let's continue to pray for this situation. |
