| as a branch we have to be trimmed and pruned sometimes close to the trunk, our feeder source and are barely profitable. As a branch we can bear bad fruit and we need the skill of good husbandry. (Does that mean branches are female and their source is husbandry? |

| Husbandman in John ch. 14 means the farmer who cares for the vineyard. Jesus says God the Father is the one who prunes the vines.The point is if you have any goodness at all, it comes from being attached to the vine (Jesus).Jesus said, ...[T]here is none good but one, that is, God. Mark 10:18 |

| that would be an acceptable answer if you believed that people not living sanctified lives have not God's grace flowing and are not born again. That is the answer consistent with Calvinism |
