Yesterday the UN denied Israel the right to build any more settlements and the US abstained from voting and equivalent to supporting the resolution.
There is a strong faction in the Church of God to also support this UN resolution. It is strong enough that in the 2014 General Assembly the resolution to support Israel was tabled.
Ricardo Waldrop was the chief spokesman for the denial for this GA resolution.
In the last GA the missionary to Israel attempted to testify to the efforts she and others had made by standing in the door ways of homes and schools blocking Israeli soldiers to enter and search for Arab illegal immigrants. This testimony was swiftly curtailed by the moderator.
These missionaries are anti-Zionist and the most of the money of COG mission money goes to Arab outreach. Very little is spent for Jewish outreach. The mission drive goes under the heading as Jerusalem Initiative and most Americans don’t know that little money goes to Jewish causes.
I believe that President Trump will resist this tendency to support Arab causes. This will go against the grain of many COG people.
