Adrian Rogers was misogynistic and I would assume if he was then a greater part of the fundamentalist clergy are also.

Charles Page, I am looking at the current cover photo on your facebook page. It is you with three ladies and a young boy. I assume this is your family, but am perhaps wrong in my assumption. Whether they are your family or not, the fact that you post a picture with them seems to say that you approve of their appearance. Surely someone who thinks a state/general overseer should chastise someone that doesn’t dress like you feel they should, would practice what they expect others to do.
In any rate, I noticed that all three of those ladies are wearing jewelry, and the older of the three seems to have her hair styled, as in cut to some extent. I scrolled your pictures and also saw a couple of girls in shorts, etc. So I wonder how you would presume to place such high judgement on our General Overseer’s wife and other women whose appearance of which you apparently do not approve? It would appear that you have deemed yourself worthy of drawing the line in determining what looks holy and doesn’t. How do you balance the apparent approved appearance of those ladies in your picture based on 1 Timothy 2:9, which specifically speaks of wearing jewelry and styling your hair?
To use your line in another post, perhaps those ladies should sell their jewelry and give that money to missionaries taking the gospel to the nations. To give my thoughts, I think it is hypocritical to hold others to such a high standard of appearance, while apparently condoning the use of clothing, jewelry, and hairstyles for appearance sake by those you associate with.
This seems a fitting example of dealing with the beam in one’s own eye before trying to remove the splinter in someone else’s eye.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Believing and Confessing are the only two requirements to be saved.) Our works and our deeds cannot get us into Heaven.
No sir i don’t. i have alot of good friends in the COG. Honorable men & women. Some i only know of but my friends do know. But i also see the fruit that they produce.
Neither the General Overseer nor the chairman of the executive council express any remorse for these pictures.
And if i’m not mistaken we are supposed to be respectful of our Leaders. And that includes Church & Government. And when He comes to rein on this earth for a thousand years He will have a government & it won’t be corrupt like alot of the politicians & some Bishops & overseers, etc

I do not see God’s hand anywhere as far as creation of denominations and the hierarchical governmental structures that have evolved. The decay of our society and culture is living proof that our models of doing church have made little impact. Not to say that participants are not good people and do not love God but hierarchical structures tend to place ministry in the hands of few rather than in the hands of all of the followers of Jesus.

I agree with you Charles, I too see the church becoming more Kingdom minded. After all Jesus did say My Kingdom is at hand.
I expect great things for my grandchildren in the church of tomorrow.
