I talked with a guy this week who told me that in the full gospel church he attends, you have to show your W2s to prove you really pay your tithes before serving in a leadership position. He seemed totally in favor of the idea.Your thoughts________________
I’ve been told there’s a fairly large church here locally that you have to show proof of income or W2s (don’t remember which) to join the church________________More of Him…less of me.twitter.com/camiracle77www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=691241499&ref=name
Ah the steps some Pentecostal churches take to enforce false doctrine. Cultic________________
Seems like over kill and also distrust amongst Christians. I cannot think of a church I would like to be a member strong enough to be ‘forced’ to show my w-2.I once had a great SS superintendent who never filled out a tithe envelope according to my clerk, and I had no problem believing he supported the church. Of course that may be one reason I did not remain a pastor long ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
It reminds me of ‘but ye have despised the poor.’That’s a way to keep the long-term enemployed for sucking away the middle class church folks’ resources________________
I think Mormons lead the way here.Every member shows annual income documentation.Of course, if you later lose your job – they pay all your expenses until you get another job from the church treasury. So, if a COG wants to make that deal, it seems fair________________
It won’t happen. And it would be fair________________
you can get a job from the church treasury??________________
Chill, NBF just had a dangling modifier is all.You get paid from the church treasury until you get another job.
