I have further heard the left say that the whole point of the OT is to entertain and welcome strangers. Yes, this is what is going on out there. At the same time, those using the OT and NT at their disposal don’t really embrace a whole lot of anything that I term righteous behavior.
Since the left’s idea of entertaining is closely tied to the city’s namesake, then I’d say they need to rethink their position paper. Its very interesting they would refer to Sodom on this topic and avoid it at all costs on the other one.

The treatment of the heavenly messengers, including the attempted homosexual rape, was witness to the righteousness of the judgement. Those who would say this is a matter of welcoming refugees fails on all points – the angels were not refugees, the city was judged before the angels arrived and not even Abraham could stop their destruction.
