How to give to a preacher

Acts20.com NEW Acts-Celerate

Instead of putting in the offering plate, put in an envelope and put it in the preacher’s (pastor, evangelist, missionary’s, etc.) hand with a note that says, This gift is a personal gift from me to you as from a brother in Christ. It is not given to you as clergy. It is a personal gift exempt from taxes up to $10,000.You just gave maybe 20% more money that way________________

  1. I guess I am too old. I simply hand it to the minister in what some people have come to call a ‘loaded’ handshake..’ Most ministers just put in their pocket and I assume just go on with life with no thought’ of reporting it as income. I am fine with that. What you are saying is good under any circumstances, but if I am a friend of the minister, he will know I am not expecting this to be tax deductible. NO STRINGS attached either as a friend or under law. Gotta go, reading a Louis Lamour Western. I have read every thing he wrote, so this will be a re-read.Nite my friend where ever you are________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

  2. Dude!!! When you give a gift to the pastor, YOU MUST LET IT BE KNOWN FOR MAXIMUM BENEFIT!!!How can people know that I am a close and avid supporter of the pastor?Further, if the pastor is not DRAMATICALLY aware that I gave him $20, how will he know who to favor when that prime Adult Sunday School Teacher slot comes open?
