Saving, investing, and owning insurance should be looked at with the same common sense as owning a refrigerator. Just because Jesus is coming back doesn’t mean I need to let my milk spoil.
If you really believe in the rapture (and are sincere about it) you would not own a freezer and would keep the fridge stocked for only a week.

Most congregations are excited when a new pastor comes and many are looking for fresh ideas. A lot of times, this is a great time to introduce new outreach ideas while the excitement is there. Your advice probably won’t work in a military church or transcient or inter-city church. You have to make changes rather quickly according to the need or you won’t keep people or attract new people. I can see how your idea would work in a community (traditional) church. Community and traditional churches are usually apprehensive to change and have to be led into it slowly.

it seems to me that the DO takes the initiative otherwise the state will not use him.

But the minutes states “when called upon”. I hopes for clearer relationship between state officials and the local church pastor it would seem that the State office would Regularly call upon these DO’s.
