I was reading in Revelation the other day and came across this verse:

You have mentioned that unbelief is the only way to fall from grace/go to hell, etc. (at least if I have understood you correctly). But in this verse, it seems to clearly indicated that unbelief is but one of several things that can keep a person from eternal life. Thoughts? Thanks Aaron,There are only 2 kinds of people in the world:Righteous and UnrighteousBelieving and UnbelievingUnder grace and Under LawNew creature and Adulterer, liar, murderer, whoremonger, sorcerer, etc. When you’re unbelieving and under law (relying on self-righteousness), any one of many things the law will call you disqualifies you. All sin disqualifies us from life. But only faith causes eternal life to be born in us. See John 3:16________________I’m not saved because I’m good. If I understand you correctly, you are defining belief/unbelief as either believing that God’s grace covers all…or else believing that it takes works to save you.Am I correct on that point? In other words, it is NOT belief in God, per se–or even verbally espousing salvation by grace–but in believing that our works have no bearing on our salvation. Help me out (may not be able to reply for a while–on a trip).
It’s 100% what you believe about the Father. That’s why God sent His Son, so that we would believe in Him.Faith is believing in God, that He is your Father, that He loves you, He is for you and freely gives you all things.Unbelief is being fearful of God, believing that He doesn’t freely gives us life, isn’t for us, and that we have to find life by our own knowledge of good and evil, our own effort…climb up some other way, build a tower, take it by force________________I’m not saved because I’m good.
