We have new neighbors next door, and I am sick of hearing them dropping F-bombs on their kids (and just in general yelling no a lot without giving the kids an alternative suggestion). For over 20 years, we had quiet neighbors in that house, and I’m having a big adjustment to make.(I think they do consider themselves Christians, though.)
I do not think I will be around, but I have predicted that in 20 years the F bomb will be used in the pulpits of the COG.I am still trying to get over Pastors using ‘screwed-up’ and ‘Corn-Hole’ in the pulpit. I definitely live under a rock.There is also a culture thing, My black Christian friends (even one COG pastor) use the term very casually. I learned that when I was invited to do a YOuth Camp north of the Mason Dixon for my black Brethren. I will add here I did not doubt the dedication to Christ.Aside: In south Africa I am told by friends who lived there, that the term booger is a big NO NO.
