Does anyone still remember Rev. James A. Cross? He served as a General Overseer of the Church of God for many years. When my wife and I enrolled at Lee College in 1969, Bro Cross was then the President of the college. I have many fond memories of this great man of God who had a very bass voice. He impacted my young ministerial life in many ways, and they were all positive. I still miss these great men of God. I feel sorry for those today who never had the opportunity to have met this great men, especially James A. Cross.
I remember Brother Cross. He was no longer college president when I came to Lee but did get to hear him preach in some chapel services.
He sang a solo in chapel, “Don’t Forget To Pray!”
I remember Bro. Cross. Yes those men of God. Were so powerful. I wonder if our children and grandchildren will someday look back someday and think our preachers of today with the same respect and powerful as we do those preachers. I truly hope we are leaving an example for them to keep holding up the banner for the Lord. I know there are still some powerful ones out there. I just Pray they get hold of enough that they will keep it going.
