I watched the livestream of the campmeeting service last night and thought Tony Stewart did a good job with his message. It was my first time hearing him, and the crowd seemed to respond well too.Anyone else watch and have an observation________________“Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”

  1. Yes – it was a good night.I thought his wife did excellent with the music before and after the sermon, as well________________

  2. I missed the first part so all I heard was her singing after the message. I thoroughly enjoyed her singing as well________________“Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”

  3. Great message. Tony is a friend, and I was so glad to see him given such an opportunity. And I needed to hear that last night________________The World As I See Itworldjeffreysees.blogspot.com/Revuriah’s Facebookwww.facebook.com/people/Jeff-Richard/1226257444Jeffrey David Richard’s Myspace Musicwww.myspace.com/547856946

  4. One thing that I am very surprised about is how few people are watching the livestream of camp meeting. Last night there were around 50 viewing, and about 205 on Monday night. One has to wonder how well publicized this option was. Of course, it could be that there isn’t that much interest. Still, with over 100k members(per the state web site) I would have thought there would be a lot more interest. Or maybe I’m reading too much into it. Wouldn’t be the first time I did that.Nevertheless, I thought the message last night was good, even if the first half did kind of drag on a bit. It ended on a very high note________________“Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”

  5. Just wanted to put the lid on this thread by saying I was able to attend the Friday morning session at camp meeting. The facility was nearly full. The AB mentioned that there was a full house but I did see quite a few empty seats. No matter, the crowd was outstanding and the entire camp meeting was very well attended. It was encouraging to see so many church vans and buses as well.Being a huge technology nerd I was disappointed that more people didn’t participate in the live stream of the evening sessions. I plan to contact the state office and offer a few ideas to improve on this since I have experience with this in the business world. At any rate, this was my very first Florida camp meeting and I was glad to get the opportunity to attend at least once. Next year I hope to attend several sessions________________“Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”

  6. This was my first Florida camp meeting, and I attended most of the sessions. I wasn’t there Monday or Friday nights, but Mark Rutland was the highlight for me…I think he did a terrific job! I enjoyed Bryan Cutshall as well…I always do.

  7. Thanks for the great report________________“Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”

  8. Clint Dr. Rutland’s message was incredible. It wasn’t one of those spit fire Normal Camp Meeting messages and that’s ok… But, wow what a message! To me though the highlight was most definitely Dr. Bryan Cutshall. Truly enjoyed Camp Meeting.

  1. He’s preaching at ENC Campmeeting this Sunday night. Service begins at 6pm________________More of Him…less of me.twitter.com/camiracle77www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=691241499&ref=name

  2. We are gonna have to stop calling these yearly meetings Campmeetings, LOL Very Few of us camp for the services.I must say that Florida still has a great campground. We have stayed there several times. They also have a ‘church’ with regular services weekly for folks in the area and who are also really camping from up and down the East Coast. As a rule CAMPmeetings have gone the way of the dinosaur. There were special folks at the NC campmeetings, one was ‘Shouting Sam Jones.’ Some folks you never forget. And them MEAN preachers who were Watchmen to keep us teens out of the cars. LOL ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

  3. My husband’s grandmother attended the Snowd Branch Campmeeting (just down the road from us) in a wagon as a young girl when they actually would camp out for the week. Many have tried to modernize this campmeeting facility, but they still have sawdust on the ground in the open air tabernacle. Thank God they did finally get modernized bathrooms some years back. There were outhouses when I was a kid.I haven’t been to Charlotte Campmeeting in many years but I think I remember Shoutin’ Sam. He was pretty well known. And it’s not in Charlotte anymore…I haven’t even been to the one in Kenly that I’m going to on Sunday in a long, long time. They keep changing the service times earlier and earlier and working folks just can’t do it. Plus, it’s usually online as well.Jason Crabb will be there on Wednesday night. He brought the house down the last time he was there. Well, not him, but the Spirit was definitely moving. David Blair, who is now with the Lord, was the speaker that night…didn’t preach but the Spirit was really touching the young people on that Youth Night. If I can remember, I’ll post a link to the services________________More of Him…less of me.twitter.com/camiracle77www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=691241499&ref=name

  4. Well the first night of camp meeting was a huge success! A packed house and some very good worship set the tone for a great message from brother Hill. He preached from Daniel 3and I really appreciated the different approach he took with what to most of us is a familiar story.I would love to know how that man has been able to have such great tone in his singing voice after so many years of preaching hour long sermons. Incredible. Those in attendance really enjoyed the simple act of being together again, and for me personally I hadn’t realized how much I needed to be able to receive instead of give. The other day I was looking at my journal from last year and I couldn’t believe all of the ministry I had been involved with, plus all the extra work due to the pandemic. It was refreshing to be a sponge for one night________________“Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”

  5. Ol’ Bro. Shaw.In fact, if I recall correctly, the Singing Morris Family even wrote a song about him. It was common to see this older man running back and to across the front of the tabernacle, all while waving his white handkerchief.
