I just wanted to mention something I have noticed in successful pastors. Successful in ministering and in a living church. I was reminded of this by having Bro. Powers as the interim pastor at Wildwood. He pastored Inverness when we attended. I notices almost every service he took time to comment on one or two of the members from the pulpit in prelims or in the sermon. It reminded me of my dad, Bro. Carter and a couple others did that. My dad always included the youth and kids names from the pulpit.I never made a practice of it, but it would not hurt to make a list and mention everyone over a period of a year, it would bless some folk to know they are noticed by their pastor. Now a question, I was a builder, so when my wife notified our sons that I had shingles, both of the wanted them delivered as soon as possible. One of the Acts participants sent me a joke. I appreciate the levity, but what I wondered was if you have had Shingles, how long did they last? And what did you do other than SMILE! ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
Nothing. Great school.
Charles, time and again you show that you have very little actual, honest engagement–beyond social media–with those on the university campus. Your conversation with Jessica Thomas Shonebarger above shows this, your two comments here show this, and your consistent claims in this forum show this. Please take caution inferring from a small, online minority to a generalized accounting; this is the problem of hasty generalization (combined with a good dose of anecdotal fallacy, so far as I can tell). Please also avoid oversimplification when you represent various views (e.g., feminism or the views of various students/faculty); this sort of straw-man approach, consistently applied, only works to habituate detrimental intellectual character traits.
She didn’t block all opposition, she just blocked you because of the personal nature of you attack. The only professor I have had talk about politics in the classroom was my NT professor and he called all democrats dumb. You need to get a life and stop attacking professors and a university that is part of a denomination you are no longer a part of.
no, she blocked a bunch of Trump supporters. I was not the only one.
Jesus wasn’t nasty. U R STUPID!!!!!!!
Praying
Is Lee university s Trump hater.? How sad.
Tonight on the campus of Lee University the Administration, Faculty and student body came together for a time of praying, worshipping, listening and reflecting. Dr Conn opened the event and it was closed by members of the administration praying and with a song from EVS. I am proud of the Lee community.
For the record there was no mention of politics or the president. I think it is time for those in the denomination (and those who used to be a part of the COG) to stop criticizing everything that takes place on campus.
Oxymoron is an understatement. It goes against the very basis of the role of man and woman when compared to Christ and his Bride in the church.
