For several years I did. In the late 90’s the door opened for a short time. I went back to my home town (population 1000) to pastor, but it only lasted one year. Even though I live about 15 miles from there, the folks at that church made me happy that I no longer live THERE.My wife lived in Jacksonville when we married to a small town was quite a change for her when I brought her to the country. Now we live less than five miles from a town of 15,000 people. We can be at Walmart in 5 minutes. Even though she would rather live in a larger town we are happy. Our family is close by and that makes a huge difference________________Recorded Sermons @ www.pastorwiley.com
How about sharing God’s Word to 1 million people that they may be saved?
I am all for reaching a million people but even in today’s world it’s hard to do. I’ve written weekly columns for many years and several tracks and brochures. The past four years I have been on social media as well have taught and preached in four states and just now am approaching one million readers and listeners. Entertainers can now reach more than that in one hour.
Not my style
It appears the CoG is shifting away from a holiness church.
I like the fact that she takes care of herself and keeps herself up for her husband.
For so many, too many years the preachers looked like they stepped out of GQ magazine and their wives looked like they just got out of the dumpster.
The Church of God, Keith at 25th Street, Cleveland, TN has not and is not shifting away from Holiness as a Doctrinal position! Some of it’s Ministers and Members have shifted! Holiness is Simply; LOVING WHAT GOD LOVES & HATING WHAT GOD HATES!!
