I’m of the opinion that as this world is acting as the devils playground, along with the fact that it was only because of the fall of man that we now need political institutions to keep our sinful natures in check, that the church should have little concern for actions of the state. Yes, our unique constitutional democracy allows for us to freely worship without having to go underground in fear for our lives, but that is as far as the constitional law allows for such interference by the state. We are just passing through, and under Grace, we along are responsible for our salvation, the utilization of our hands for kingdom work, and in spreading theGood News. I cant save anyone, they accept salvation themselves, no longer are familial generational curses, or national curses a part of Gods plan under Grace. This is why I have trouble understanding the intersection of Faith and Politics to some. The Bible tells us how the world as we know it is going to end. Prophesy has been foretold. We can not control the actions of others like political leaders and they historically lie about what their intended actions will be.
Disagree. In fact, I wonder how conservative Republican especially tea party platforms have come to be associated with Christian values haha. I feel that a platform that supports and does not try to cut assistance for food, housing healthcare etc for the poor is in perfect alignment with Christ’s teachings. Abortion support as in a womans right to chose, acceptance of LGT rights re: marriage, the whole bathroom debacle etc (non-Christian ideologies/against Christ’s teachings) when placed on scales where other traditional platforms of dems again helping the poor, less emphasis on corporate wellfare or business before people, environmental concerns ensuring clean air, water, etc. And protections for laborors placed on the other scales to me show a preponderance of more Christian teachings than not. Again im weighting everything as a whole not taking things individually.
Perhaps the problem is that we expect the government to do the work of the church. Less government and more of God’s people reaching the poor and destitute.
I read this note last night and I had to get off the computer when I read this note. I couldn’t believe these statistics. .I don’t doubt the information…but God help us..how could anybody vote for a platform that supports what is stated to be sin in God’s word? I need help understanding this…It breaks my heart. .

It’s hard for me to believe anyone calling themselves a Christian would vote Democratic. Their whole platform is anti Christ .
