About a month ago a nurse from our Insurance company came and gave my wife and I a brief check up. My A1C (sugar) was 8.9. That’s the highest it has been. I decided it was time I took control of my health so from inspiration by Eddie Robbins I started walking.Today I walked 5 miles and ran about 1/2 mile of that.Yesterday I walked 3.6 and phoned Eddie. He ran 10 miles yesterday. I am not ready for a 10 mile run but I at least I got started. I am 67 years old so my next goal is run 1 mile and walk 6.7 miles. A friend who was inspired by my walking has started walking. He is up to 2 miles in one week.Come on Brothers and Sisters, a great way to get alone to pray is to walk and pray________________Recorded Sermons @ www.pastorwiley.com

  1. GREAT my friend. Eddie has been an inspiration to many. I admired his ability to hold the line.BUT remember my friend, the dude is a young fellow. Walk a lot before you try the marathons. LOLThis is good to hear. Sherry and I walk 2-5miles a day. I might sprint 50 yds, but not sure the 78 yr old knees will appreciate running. LOLImma try to post this. having trouble with the net.We drove to Florida to check on things, just got in and have been without the internet for 4 days.Love you my brother. 2. Congrats.Eddie is indeed a good example. Both of what to do – and what not to do. Aren’t we all.But that story of deciding one day he was sick and tired of being the way he was – and he didn’t have to be that way anymore – and that he stuck to it after making that decision – is one of the best stories around. It simply isn’t easy to do – it is very hard – but one man did it. So can we all________________
