I was at a Camp Meeting in Florida some years ago. The speaker mentioned, You may think you pastor in the woods, where I pastor it is 50 miles to the closest Walmart!Of course that got a big laugh.Well I am sure you all know it is or was yesterday, Carolyn’s Birthday.Happy Birthday lady, we hope it is/was a good day.This came up because she drives a good ways to Walmart. She lives in ‘remote’ Eastern NC. LOL.I was surprised to know that Aaron who pastors in Florida is 14 miles from a Walmart. Funny how some folks judge where they want to live by the closeness of SHOPPING!Yep when i find a place I want to move to, my girl says, this is too far from a Walmart, Yep we are cheap!This is all in fun to Wish the Lady Carolyn a Happy Birthday and say we are glad to know they are building some ‘Dollar Store’ close to her remote NC home.Love you girl, have a good one. I am seldom on FB, mostly to wish friends Happy Birthday. At that time I scroll down and see what is happening there. I ran across a VERY touching testimony from the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. Titled Prayer Closet. I tried to get it on Acts, but could not get the address.It may be old hat to everyone here, it ws new to me. Could you put a thread to reach that for the folks here who have not seen it.I may be the only one who hasn’t it. Aw, Cojak! That is so sweet! Thank you! I’ve had a very nice day.The truth is, I don’t really live THAT far from a Walmart. Only about 10 minutes. But Dollar General is across the street, so it wins a lot of times! LOLNow I went to a friend’s church for a funeral on Friday. Now THAT is in the boonies! (I only saw one Dollar General on the hour drive!) When I got off Hwy 17, I thought to myself, Wow, they must have to pipe sunshine in here! Twisty, curvy roads, one of which was named Saints Delight Church Road! A couple of railroad tracks but no COG – just two PH churches and a First Baptist! LOLPlease keep my dh in your prayers.
