It depends on where you live. It seems to be the norm to expect men and women to both be virgins at marriage in Indonesia. In the US, I read that it is estimated that 3% of individuals are virgins at marriage, and that 60% of those ar efemale. It is sad that the numbers are so low. The majority of the 3% attend religious services regularly. But also in the OT, divorced persons could remarry (just not to each other again).
