This so sad, displaying what I had posted here about trying to explain this to young folk.My wife and I attended Trinity when looking for a church in Deltona. Someone here on Acts reccommended we give it a try.Just two days ago we drove back by Trinity, they have a large campus with a Christian Academy. It seemed to be a good church with a huge attendance but we are more comfortable in a smaller church >150. We finally decided on the Riverwalk COG in Sanford and attend there when we are AT HOME in Florida.BUT to the OP, this makes me sick, I know the church will be hurt if things unfold that it was him who pistol whipped someone threatened to kill them and was videotaped in a strip joint dancing with a stripper.RS, is the pastor married________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
Absolutely. And First AG in neighboring DeLand is also a thriving church that actually started as a Trinity daughter-work under Trinity Asst Pastor Mile Modica, about the time Evans left. First AG runs about 1500 or more if I am not mistaken. My 3 years at Trinity were mainly under the tutelage of Modica. I never knew Evans that well________________
We also attended the large COG in Deland, it is doing great, but we older folk do prefer the smaller churches. they are more like a family, just the life we were raised. I applaud Trinity and the other larger churches who are reaching the youth. I applaud Trinity especially for surviving such a debacle. ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
As for why I’m posting this. I see some relevance to this and the Moore situation, though loosely. It turned out Evans had been outed many times and nobody took the accusers seriously. Moore never showed a pattern of bad behavior and had no accusers until now, and for things that purportedly happened, for the most part, in a very marrow window in time 40 years ago________________
Nope. haha. He was one of those that would barely say hello if you passed him in the hallway. His assistant was my mentor and I will forever treasure the time I spent with he and his family________________
