It would be good to remember that Steve did not give this prophecy, and at the time it was given, if I remember right, it was at his father’s (T. L.’s) funeral. I’m guessing Steve is still Pastor of the church in the D.C. area his father was Pastor of and that he continues to minister.In the early 1960s my parents bought a house the next street over from the Lowery’s home in the neighborhood off of 25th across from where the new COG offices was built – COG owned a bunch of homes in that neighborhood – but I think the Lowerys owned theirs. Steve and I would play together (he was just a little older), and I remember him having a hand ax we would cut down small trees with (in their backyard) and we would have bullwhip fights with the Mexican bullwhips our dad’s would bring us from their travels. I remember being in their home and seeing T.L. in his study. I think I remember going to a tent revival where he preached.Now for those who discount the children of ministers based on their father’s ministry, consider there may be a reap what you sow result in your own family. I am always amazed at the number of preacher’s kids who not only reject the call to ministry, but often reject their father’s ministry by not attending his church or any church in the movement he has severed in, if they go to church at all. Worst of all many reject Jesus Christ and are filled with bitterness at being raised as a preacher’s kid. Now we must ask, who was false with their children?
This is a potent comment Mat. One that has a very deep meaning. I thought of copying it and putting it on as a separate thread. PK’s are all over the ‘board (life)’ in their take on Christianity & ministry. Mat,This touched a nerve with me. It breaks my heart that both of my children have rejected my ministry. They quit attending when they became adults and though I have walked away from pastoring they will not attend even where we are now. There is not a day goes by that I don’t blame myself. They are both responsible people. Good productive citizens. No alcohol or drugs. No shacking up. No violence. But they have rejected the church.Thank God for people like T.L. Mat, I don’t want to speak for OTCP, but I don’t think anyone is calling Steve Lowry’s integrity into question in regard to this prophecy. If the prophecy indeed was false (and we know that it was because Kenneth Copeland teaches false doctrine with near endless enthusiasm, and thus cannot be a true prophet of God) then what happened here was that a false teacher seized the opportunity of Steve’s father’s funeral to do his thing. That calls into question the wisdom of whoever allowed Copeland to take the platform and get a microphone, but it doesn’t say anything about Lowry, IMO, other than that he deserves sympathy and prayer for having been victimized by this wolf on the day of his father’s funeral. Well, I can support vetting people who are on stage at church. Those who are going to speak/preform/sing/play music/preach/pray/teach before a congregation who has gathered in a place dedicated to God should be vetted. That being the case, on any given Sunday, in some churches there are drunks and those who use drugs, adulterers and fornicators, homosexuals and bisexuals, blasphemers and the profane, and a host of others who should not be on stage. Now that just covers praise teams, choir (and director) and the band, but in their defense they can sing that song and play that music like nobody else (why it makes the hair stand up on your neck they sound so good) .Having Copeland on stage may not have been the best choice. Was it Steve’s choice or his dad’s (or mother’s) wishes? There have been many funerals I have presided over, spoken at and attended where the family had someone speak whom I would not have had, but I can not account for what they say, I must account for my own spirit and words. Perhaps there is more the words of Jesus to consider when he said, Let the dead bury the dead.
Funerals also often have open mic times when anyone can share, perhaps ultimately against the wishes of both the presiding minister and the family. Perhaps Copeland put his name on a list and was up on the platform before anyone could think better of it. I did read that he wasn’t specifically invited, but was just a normal attendee.

The prophecy was given to Steven Lowery. The thesis here is not Lowery, it is Copeland. I’m glad you clarified your remarks and made a definitive statement about Steve not being the focus of the reoccurring appearance of this subject matter. It would be unfair to Steve’s ministry to overlook the blessings of the Lord he has experienced by quantifying them with a false metric.
