While they had a good jingle to them, I have often wondered if many of those songs were really unscriptural.Years ago growing up in church it came across as if God forced our birth on earth so we would have a goal of yearning for heaven. In a sense, that mentality pervaded a lot of pentecostal thinking. Looking back, that thought process makes God appear on the cruel side. It makes us have a miserable mindset here.There is more to our walk with Christ than thinking about heaven all the time. There is much more I would like to say but there is already enough to unpack here….but…..
