In the Study Commission’s Report which helped to bring about this change, a strange scenario is the fact the scriptures were never one time consulted. The Church’s theologians were never consulted regarding the church’s theology. Everything else was consulted, I guess you could say, except GOD. Such a vast difference from the earlier preachers. You will notice that there were scripture verses with each teaching. These earlier men searched the scriptures for answers.
