cogcia,I can relate somewhat to what you are saying. I have people in the CoG that I trust and some that I don’t but I don’t let that stop me from talking to them. I choose very carefully who I trust with my secret issues but at the same time, I’m not worried about who knows that I do struggle. In regards to not liking the direction a leader is taking your region – I recommend talking to them about your concerns. Even if he doesn’t receive your concerns, at least he will know. Also, how much of an impact does his plans truly have on your local church. What are the consequences if you just lay low and wait for him to move to some other region? In regards to advancing in the CoG – don’t worry about your age. Work to build your church, work to build the kingdom in your area and work to please Him. God will advance you if you are obedient, faithful and working hard on the ministry God gave you. Stop worrying about what CoG leadership is or is not doing and simply pray for them. God will reveal if they or you are wrong. Work with our leaders to the best of your ability as they are good people and I’m sure they are doing their best to follow what God is telling them to do with this great denomination. Also, reach out to them via email, facebook messenger, etc. and start a dialogue with them. I’ve communicated with several through these modes of communication and have found our leadership to be very responsive to my concerns and questions. Also, if you ever need anyone to vent to, feel free to email or text me and you have my word that what you say stays between us. Blessings!Wayne Guilliams(859)[email protected]
