The problem with us who were in the Church of God before the 60s, we were not taught in the schools of worship! It’s no wonder the Holy Spirit moved then as it (gender neutral) is moving today!!
The old leadership were never taught the transition from bondage worship to free spirit worship.
How did we learn to worship? We had singing schools and learned to sing the new convention songs. It was enjoyable. The old timers sat in the pews and listened to the “choir” (anybody that was interested in coming to the choir loft that day) There was worship!
We really needed transitioning!! We are mocked in these worship training conferences.
The 7 Theory trains you and your team to finally play by ear! It’s a way of understanding music based on the Nashville Number System. Producer and Artist,
So true Charles Page
it was really fun and still have a good turn-out on a weeknight.
We got instructions on rest, pauses, notes and harmony parts.
Those were great times

Shirley, one way you can be taught to worship is come to church prepared to spend time with God. Leaving g out social media off and focusing on God. It always amazes me how we can worship through music. My husband was always very careful in choosing music for worship. There are several different types of music. An example of one is the old hymn we all know. Amazing Grace. Sing it and absorb the words. It will lift out inner spirits to be thankful for that Amazing Grace that saved us from eternal damnation and gives us a hope of heaven. My husband wrote the chorus, Everyday of my Life, that a lot of churches are using. The next time you go to church pay attention to the music. If you can listen to Christian music it helps.
