They are steadily compromising
Where does unity within the body of Christ fit in with this mindset? There are lots of great ministers in the CoG but there are lots outside of the CoG as well…
Having been raised in the COG and having worked in it as a minister for over 10 years and now having served over 15 years in the IPHC I can say I feel one of the COGs reasons for growth has been self promotion. They have always promoted from within and gave their preachers a strong sense of value. I have admired the COG for this. I wish the PH Church was more self promoting like the COG has been.
I was laughing when i knew of a PhD pastor that just inherited a big COG temple that was invited to give conferences as an example of church growth and expansion…what a joke!! I personally know a pastor in Mexico that has planted many churches, and currently reaching hundreds souls, living in a very humble way. He is almost 60 years old and he is just learning how to read and write…that is a real example that could be a very motivating conference for all the worldwide COG!!! God help us…

most of todays churches have become social clubs, drinking coffee eating donuts. smoking , chewing, dancing, what ever suits their fancy , God is the farthest thing from their minds, Can’t tell you much about the gospel. but they can tell you all about ball games, golf, sports car races, foot ball, basket ball. world series, every one just about have I pods . and while the preacher is up preaching they are for the most part fiddling around with their I pods, and couldn’t tell you anything the preacher preached about, the ones that don’t have I pods go to sleep . wake up when the preacher says amen time to go home

Lance Keeling you have a real problem. All you can do is mock men of God YOU don’t like! That is a dangerous place to be. Would you like it if we did that to YOU?
A chance to see celebrities. The COG (Cleveland) also no longer sees itself as THE COG.

I can say wow what a campmeeting service from TX. Larry Timmerman preached & wow did he preach! Tim Hill tomorrow. Best campmeeting in the states. All I can say is if your wood is wet, u should come to Tex.
