(As far as the first part,,,, if we understand the 5 (4) fold ministry offices giftings then there should be no fretting or uneasiness).
Especially if it has been seasoned with and prefaced by prayer.
Yea they put you in a back bed room in the basement the dog barks till 12 15 am the floor up stairs creaked every time someone walks on it the pastor drags you all over creation to look this and that you get up to preach and it’s one of those nights it seems like where did God go to you preach what you are sure is one of the Dullest driest messages ever the kids in the back of the church are laughing like crazy and you suspect there is no doubt about they are laughing at your feeble attempt to preach the special singing at the beginning of the service was the most dry and out of tune singing you have ever heard in your life you know for a fact there isn’t a snow balls chance in you know where that they will ever invite you back again but as you cry out to God all of the sudden God himself showed up and showed out the Holy Spirit so faithful begins to touch the youth at the end souls come into Gods kingdom and shocking the pastor says we love to have you back so many fond memories well worth it all
I preached a revival down in Florida and the church and pastor was dead and I’m preaching my heart out. I grabbed the pastor off the front row and kicked his butt around the church making him run with me and shout. LOL I wasn’t invited back!
Ok I want to make a clarification bro Jim I told you I never really traveled as an an evangelist that is true but all of the things I mentioned were what I think any evangelist experience while ever thing i said had happened to me but not at any one particular revival I rented an basement apt for 3 yrs and not only did the floor make noises the people up stairs little dog dragged its chain across the floor and you could hear it plain as day my former pastor had me come preach a revival and the first nite boy I was going let the lord help me show them gods mighty man of power well I don’t know where the lord went to but it was the most driest weakest sermon I ever preached on my life I think the biggest miracle is that he even invited me to come preach in the first place ha ha lol and that thought did cross my mind there is no way on Gods earth that they ever invite me to come an preach another revival every the best part of the whole thing was spending time and him showing me various things so I took my real life experiences and so ghost writer liberty and tried show what I feel many evangelist feel and experience I have heard some real horror stories I was busy pastoring and when we held services in our home I worked a job I told the lord if you want n me to evangelize have some one ask me to cry preach most all of my evangelism bs has been on the street on corners in front of grocery stores that let us run an electrical plug to power our amps I just want to make that clear like I told you I never really traveled as an an evangelist although I think if you took a survey in our churches you would find not many pastors who pastor in our churches spent much time standing on a street corner preaching I could be wrong God bless you

Who really cares about the financial results for the church hierarchy. Their going to do what they want to do, and qualify their results to the rest of c the church and we will except it. Like its always been.
So it’s just a waist of time to debate it,then you get bombed on by someone that obviously is disturbed by whatever point you were trying to make.
All denominations are likely suffering financially and also in terms of diminishing membership and attendance. Increasing local church closures is becoming the norm.
The centralized hierarchical structures will collapse first.
It would be interesting to see how other denominations are faring!
Had lunch Tue. with a retired payroll clerk for the publishing house. In recent years payroll has been cut more than half and the actual printing is now done overseas.
I would argue that managing funds for a denomination is a thousand times more complicated than a household budget. Major trends in society whiplash the church. COG members are in all likelihood spending more on cell phones and cable TV than they are on their church.
On the other hand ministries like Joyce Meyers takes in 100 million per year. She does this primarily from women’s money and without an emphasis on tithing or storehouse imagery. This is something new under the sun.
