Treats, a Christmas tradition

Acts20.com NEW Acts-Celerate

Growing up the one thing that I remember was the smell of citrus as the church Christmas treats were being put together for handing after church the Sunday before Christmas. I am not sure how wide spread the practice was, but I know in NC it was a TRADITION.It was the only time most mill workers and kids saw and tasted tangerines and oranges. I remember as a PK the festive time as mostly some men volunteers and their kids would come to the church basement and form an assembly line to put the ‘TREATS’ together. The last few years our church purchased the treats already made, but still had them. I guess this year that is out, and to me it is sad. BUT still I hope everyone has a MERRY Christmas. ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
