You seem to like to bring that up without context, my brother. When Jimmy ran for president the first time I have no doubt his attitude was 180 degrees from gay marriage. When I or anyone else refer to him and voting, we were voting for a farmer with a nuclear degree. We voted for someone with Christian values.WE all admit that he has changed, he even said that. But you seem to want to tie us who voted for Carter, a Christian, in 1976, to have voted for a queer lover. Surely you know that is far from the truth.Everyone's attitudes and beliefs change over the years, including yours, his just went to (Choose another word)I always try to give credit where credit is due. Although his presidency is rated low, he brokered a deal between Israel and Egypt that was historic and lasted longer than most treaties and deal in that area of the world. Were you old enough to vote at the time Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

Cojak, If I gave any indication that I think/thought that those who voted for Carter held/hold his views on everything, especially gay marriage,

My parents voted for Carter once. I'm not sure what my dad did the second time. He was a union man. Carter was pro-life and seemed to be a decent fellow. Except that interview indicates he thought it was okay to kill a baby if it's parents were too closely related or if his or her daddy was a rapist. It's not the same as voting Democrat now. It does seem like it was voting against the pocketbook to vote for Carter back then
