Because of the outcome of the ordained ministers measure this morning and the anger of people who feel differently than me, I received a Facebook pm in which the person said they will be so glad when we older conservative ministers die so the church can move forward.I just deleted them, prayed, and moved on

It is amazing that some feel they MUST vent their frustrations. Amazing. Glad you are 'bigger' in spirit. But t does hurt! Especially since you ain't even OLD! This is seriously said too. That type ignorance is the problem. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

So they can run the Good Ole Boys Club most likely.

This is why forward movement in a denom is difficult. When someone feels differently and wants change, we just delete them, pray, pat ourselves on the back, surround ourselves with folks who say we're bigger (we deleted the others), attribute bad motives of forming a new good 'ole boys club to them and keep things exactly the same. Maybe, if you're lucky, everyone who disagrees with you will just leave the denomination...and Acts...and your church.(bracing for deletion I'm not saved because I'm good. I'm saved because He's good!My website: www.bradfreeman.comMy blog: bradcfreeman.tumblr.com/

I have seen this attitude more and more among the under 35 crowd. I'm not saying that even a majority in that age group feel that way, but it is a significant number. When I was in my mid-30's I prayed for strength of days and longevity for our elders so we younger ones would have even more time to be mentored by and learn from them. Today I see allot of the under 35 crowd acting like there is not one thing good they can learn from anyone over 55

I don't mind the idea of going home to be with Jesus, but I'm disturbed by the attitude of those who would wish to hurry the process along
