Chipper Jones, Dale Murphy and Nolan Ryan are my all-time favorite baseball players. Thanks for sharing your story, pretty cool man.I saw him play first in Philadelphia while I was living in NJ. I moved to a town outside of Atlanta in 2003 and watched him every year there until moving back to TX in 2010. We then watched him in 2011 when the Braves came to play the Astros.I love some Chipper Jones! Proverbs 3:5-6; John 13:34-35; Acts 1:8

He said that they were very blessed that Chipper was able to come out of such a small place and be noticed. Not really. They put him in the pro sports factory - Bolles School in Jacksonville for 3 years. That is what got him noticed.Never would have happened in Pierson

I have a good friend, H Woods who had a promising career with the Reds, I think, but found that BAseball was tough on marriages. he stepped back because his marriage meant a lot to him, and he was worried it would eventually mean the end of theirs.Jimmy Hall (with the Twins?) had a rough time, he was my wife's classmate. He has never returned to her home town and is a recluse with several problems. I admire a player who can have a LIFE outside baseball and still live a good life. That schedule must be tough.
