In all seriousness, would those of you who believe Jesus used hyperbole's, please give us all the scriptures that are meant to be taken as such and why? Just asking for book, chapter, and verse.I guess I've been naive all my life and just took the Bible as God's Holy Word, where if He said I could do it, have it, or give it... then I took Him at His word. Before anyone attacks and ask if I have done everything He said I could do, attained everything He said I could have, or given everything He said I should or could give... the answer is no, I haven't. But, that is on me and not on Christ or His Word.

Here's a rather obvious one, unless perhaps one believes somehow that Jesus taught that we must literally cannibalize his body: John 6:53

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, Matt. 6:3 ESV

Mark 10:29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, 30But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. So, if understood strictly literally, one who leaves his house, brothers, sisters, mother or wife for the sake of Christ and the gospel, will literally receive a hundred times as many houses, family members, etc.

Luke 14:26If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even their own life--such a person cannot be my disciple. NIVBoth the Old and New Testaments, as well as Jesus himself (e.g., Matt 15:4-9), say quite emphatically that one of the primary commandments of God is to HONOR your father and your mother. Jesus even says we are to LOVE even our ENEMIES, not hate them. And yet if Luke 14:26
