Here's a picture I took of Venus and the crescent moon this evening.

I love night sky watching. Nope, Cojak knows me better than that.My son had pointed out Venus and the crescent moon the evening before when the moon was below Venus, and I made a mental note to look the next evening because I knew the moon would be even closer than it was the prior evening.

That's cool.I had not realized Mars was out there when I took my picture, but it probably was early enough in the evening that with the light pollution in our subdivision it would not have been visible to me right then. If the sky is clear enough tonight, I will look again. Okay, I did see Mars tonight in the line between Venus and the moon. I took a picture of Venus and the moon again, but Mars was not bright enough to show up on my camera. I enjoyed seeing it, though.
