Lots of conferences too.There's an old saying: If you're leading and no one is following, you're just out taking a walk.I know that the leaders that I am attracted to at this stage of my life look a whole lot like Jesus. They lead with a servant's heart. They'll die for what they believe in and they'll do it from the front and from the start, not pushing others to sacrifice before them. On the other hand, they're comfortable sharing and even giving glory to others. They are sure and confident but they are also empathetic and humble. They learn. I don't know all of the ways to describe them but I know them when I see them. I have always believed that. Most of the men mentioned were never failures, the failure was in their leadership. In the church world, leaders aren't focused on the calling or anointing someone has on their life. The focus is on their age, appearance, charisma, and who knows you.A man said he always took his car to the dealership where he bought his car to have it worked on, because all the people in the service dept., from the service writers to the mechanics, all wore the same uniform and talked only about cars and he trusted them. It had been about a year he said since he needed any work done on his car and he made an appointment to have his car serviced at this dealership. When he arrived to the service department, it had changed. It was no longer an area that had a few seats, a t.v. in the corner, a magazine rack full of car magazines and a coffee pot. Now, it had couches that looked like no one had ever sat on them, an espresso machine, magazines that had models on the cover, and music that was blaring. He wasn't greeted by a guy named Joe in a work uniform, but by a woman who looked and was dressed like a model. She wasn't interested in what he needed or even what he was there for, her only interest was to sell him services that he didn't need or want. He said he didn't let them work on his car, left and has never been back.

This is true Shaun and I agree with you. The sad thing is the statement that I made bold, is people are more focused of getting the attention and glory on themselves than on God.Facebook is full of people posting pictures of themselves using their talents in church, but looking for praises for themselves from others.

If a leader commits adultery, hetero or homosexual they should never be restored to the ministry. There should not be a restoration back into ministry.This should apply to any mortal sin or capital crime
