When my hubby & I finished in Gatlinburg, we drove to the Cleveland/Chattanooga area, and while there we attended a few services of Perry Stone's Prophetic Summit. I know there are some of you that don't care for Perry Stone, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The conference itself was free, but registration was required. Once there, you had to stand in a long line for them to confirm your registration and then you were given an armband to give you access the rest of the conference. One of the things that impressed me the most was their volunteers. They are top notch! When we got there, my hubby dropped me off at the entrance with the scooter I use (a rolling knee walker...I don't have to use it, but it helps keep my pain level down, so I use it when I'm going to be somewhere that requires a lot of walking.) As soon as the volunteer saw my scooter, she told me to come with her. She took me in the last door, where security checked my bags, then she took me to the front of the line on that side to get our armbands. When she did that, I was blown away! By the time John had parked the car and made it inside, I had our armbands and we went to find a seat. Once inside the sanctuary, one of the security guys offered to help us. Most of the sanctuary was filled and they were just getting ready to open up a section in the back that had bleacher-like seats (but were individual seats) that popped up. The bottom row was set on a platform that made the seats a bit higher than the ones on the floor, giving you a better view. The security fellow helped us get seats on the bottom row of this section near the end, where I could put my scooter right next to it. From the time we walked in the door, we were treated so nicely, and every volunteer I met had the same loving, kind attitude, right down to the young woman changing the trash bags in the bathroom. Perry's son Jonathan was working at the sales table, ringing people up, and I told John who he was after we walked away. (He looks a lot like his dad!) The tram driver told us that they have around 400-500 volunteers who do so because they love to serve. To see this attitude speaks to me of good training. It was quite impressive.Security was tight. All bags were checked upon entrance, every time you went outside, but even their security folks were super nice and friendly. The security detail inside the service were all wearing suit coats and matching slacks. Several of them had earpieces so they could communicate, and everything they did was well coordinated. They escorted every speaker to and from the platform. I guess this stood out to me because of our time at PTL. The security was a lot like that, but John said they actually had more security than Jim Bakker did.The set on the stage looked like a Jewish community in Bible times. Very beautiful! The praise team only had a few young people, but man, they worship! I really enjoyed the praise and worship, but it was a relatively short segment both nights. Perry preached the first night, and it was really good. I won't go into detail about the message, but it had to do with where we are in America prophetically. Probably the most important thing he said was that he feels America has a window of opportunity coming in which revival will break out, and we need to be prepared to spread the gospel during that time. We both enjoyed the message, as did the crowd of close to 2000. The service started on time, and each speaker kept their message to around an hour. Everything was very well ordered and organized. We attended two other sessions, and we enjoyed them, also. We actually sat in a front section off to the side for both of those sessions. The product area with CDs, DVDs, etc. was large and busy. Some of the items available were mentioned in the service, but there was not a big push to buy them. In fact, the other speakers spent more time talking about what they had available than Perry did. Sorry, OTCP, there was no further mention of Moses' speaking in tongues. I was prepared to give you an update if I heard anything. Again, probably more info than you wanted, but thought I'd share in case you were interested. More of Him...less of me.twitter.com/camiracle77www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=691241499&ref=name
