Good for you, and a very good article. I know Bonnie also was a home school teacher and turned out a fine young man. Looking back it would have been a good idea for us also, but that is WATER under an OLD Bridge.Atta girl, good job. And thanks fr letting us know. That is the first time I have ever seen the Evangel online. That was a first. Saw a couple people I know. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/

A little COG history added. Little Washington was also the home of one of NC's first CAmp Meetings. I attended one in 1945(?) when Walt Moody psstored Snowed Branch, where the Camp Meeting was held in an Open Shelter. A wonderful child time I will never forget. Not to Hijack a very interesting thread. I did enjoy the article also. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/

Cojak, don't worry about adding information to the thread in response to a question. That's what home education is all about. See Ole Timer is settin right there in his own home, and he is gettin educated in a little geography and history.

Very true, Bonnie! Thanks for all the kind comments about the article. I used to write for Lance when he was editing the SS curriculum, but this is a first for the Evangel. Washington NC (also called The Original Washington) is also about 20 minutes from East Carolina University, home of the Pirates. Some of you might be familiar with them. I actually live just past Pactolus (if you blink twice, you'll miss it!) but before you get into Washington proper. Washington has a beautiful waterfront and Jimmy Buffett has stopped here recently to get some good BBQ. And yes, we are just down the road from Snowd Branch campmeeting More of Him...less of me.http://twitter.com/camiracle77http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=691241499&ref=name
