Can anyone tell me whatever became of the old Shades Mountain COG in Hoover (Bham) area in Alabama? I know it was called Point of Grace for a little bit, and was the former old South Park COG. The last i heard they had sold the church to muslims and purchased a Movie Theatre somewhere, but then don't know what happened.Is the church still active? Did they merge to form another church? Who is the Pastor?Thanks

The South Park COG was a powerful strong church in Birmingham. It was a church of great revival and many ministers were a part of this church. The church moved around 1981 ish to Hoover because of urban decay as the community now is very dangerous.

can you find the old address in an online book of minutes?if so - plug that in to google earth - it will take you to the address - and you can read the sign for yourself online

Maybe it got lost in all the church name changes.
