| Once when I was discussing with my son how things were going in the Royal Ranger class he helps out with at church, he mentioned a strange thing that one of the leaders told the class of boys. The leader told the boys that the Bible says God breathed into Adam the breath of life but that it doesn't say he breathed the breath of life into Eve [if I'm relaying this correctly]. | From the pew, no Bible to back me up, I will have to go with the view, he was made TO LIVE! On Eve, just for fun I think God might have said, Now kiss this lady! Adam knew instinctively what a kiss was when he saw this beautiful being, THE woman, so he did and she came alive! That is my story unless it is shot down. | There are two accounts of the creation of man. One is a brief account about the sixth day. There are those who argue this is different from the Eden account. That would be a way to keep Cain's wife from being his sister, I suppose. But one might also argue that Adam's line was the line with the 'breath.' But if Adam died when he sinned, did he keep the breath of life? Is the breath of life something in his lungs, or something else?I wonder if one of the boys asked if God breathed into Adam the breath of life and the teacher responded |
