The GOP is between a rock and a hard-place that's for sure. Their only hope would be to convince Rubio or Cruz to withdraw along with Kasich and Carson. If they are not that smart, they deserve what's coming to them. I think you and I can agree on that much at least.

If Trump made a public statement that he would nominate Cruz to the U.S. Supreme Court. If he stated that he would have a conservative running mate...things might look a little better. These things would not make the establishment guys get on board, but I think it would probably solidify the conservative base.
