| That was 1980. I think many things have occurred since then that would change a opinion on this. 9/11 for one thing. Another communism is not the world wide threat is was then, now it is terrorism. And finally we legalized (granted amnesty to) a bunch of illegals in 1986 with the hopes that it would help stop the illegals, it did not work! I don't know if a wall is the answer, but we are a nation of laws. We ought to at least enforce or laws or change them. Changing the anchor baby law would probably do a lot for us. |

| Good post.Another point......none of the kind things said here by the GOP candidates prevented or will ever prevent us from being accused of racism. nor will it garner us Hispanic votes |
