*************************UPDATE *************Two days before surgery my eyes stared watering, nose running and a fever. Prayed. I was rightly advised to call the surgeon and cancel. But I am stubborn. One day before still going strong, prayed. Thanked God for friends who were praying. (Prayer is all that is available at a time like that, you are not allowed to take the meds required that close to the operation.) I left the motel for the hospital and threw my mucus soaked handkerchief away and grabbed a clean one. In the parking deck I realized I had not 'wiped nor blown my nose' on the short trip. I reported, and held my breath as my vitals were taken. GREAT VITALS NO FEVER. When my clothes were delivered to me after the successful surgery, the dry handkerchief was on top of the stack it is still in my back pocket and DRY. I do Thank God and all who prayed. It might have stopped on its on, but I don't think so.Thanks again. In a month I will know if it works. GOD IS GOOD!Some folk will say, God could have just as easily fixed the ears! I agree, and I do not know why because many prayers have gone up about these ears. Several good things happened during this process, I got to encourage some folk, smile at many frowns and say if will get better.I also would have missed a 'snot slinging' testimony given by member of the local church's Youth Group. The young man was in a big way about a meeting they had just attended, he said, You know you are being blessed when you are crying rivers and slinging snot. All I could say to myself after the surgery was, I sure felt good when I wasn't slinging any.
