I think it was more than just these who wanted a spite candidate. I believe there were enough deliberate crossover democrat voters desiring to sabotage the Republican side for a good(for them) Hillary opponent, a colossal amount of free media along with the spite voters. It was the perfect storm to come up with President Hillary.

well put It really was. If there were just 3 or 4 candidates verses Trump, I don't see him getting the nomination.
