I'm wondering if pastors like to guest speakers the weeks leading up to Christmas. I'm just thinking about it. You feel confined on the topic, and if your congregation has heard you speak on these same verses every year for 5, 10, or 20 years, and you want to say something new.... is this a good time of year to get someone else to preach?

One of the best revivals I ever hosted was in December, though I don't usually schedule outside preachers in December.

This is a sincere question: how do you not preach a Christmas sermon this time of year? The whole nation is mesmerized by Christmas - how do you ignore the opportunity to guide the masses feeding off of the Christmas frenzy
