I have occasionally read references to I Corinthians 7:27-28 as justification for that idea anyone who is divorced to be free to marry, no matter what the reason. I'd like to point some things out about the passage.

It depends on where you live. It seems to be the norm to expect men and women to both be virgins at marriage in Indonesia. In the US, I read that it is estimated that 3% of individuals are virgins at marriage, and that 60% of those ar efemale. It is sad that the numbers are so low. The majority of the 3% attend religious services regularly. The divorce rates after five years are lower for those who are virgins at marriage. ifstudies.org/blog/counterintuitive-trends-in-the-link-between-premarital-sex-and-marital-stability

But also in the OT, divorced persons could remarry (just not to each other again).
