A thread has begun about calling fire down.....all humorous .....Let me preface that I do choose to tithe. My wife and I also give a lot to missions. I believe in sowing and reaping.But, I grew up hearing preachers telling born-again spirit filled believers that they are cursed...and everything they do will be cursed. While living under the new covenant, we teach old covenant principles. I even heard pastors use stories where good christian families....who did not tithe, had a spouse, child or loved one die unexpectedly...or their house burnt down or their car broke down....all because they did not tithe....

I have never heard it as strong as you portray it, but yes at times some preachers mixed up the OT & NT on some things, but never yet switched back to the blood sacrifice.Where I grew up it was more, 'you will be blessed' if you tithe! Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

I guess some pastors and the devil are teaming up these days to pass out a fear story. This is very typical sign of the times in which we live.
