If EDUCATION and/or the RECOGNITION OF DOCTORAL-LEVEL KNOWLEDGE is the purpose of a degree, then being unaccredited is not, of itself, an indication of anything amiss. Yes, the utility of an unaccredited degree is less than that of an accredited degree. But the EDUCATION attested to by an unaccredited degree is not necessarily inferior to--and perhaps even superior to--that of an accredited degree.A PHONY degree, however--a piece of paper that doesn't even concern itself with the graduate's level of education, THAT is one that ought to be rightly rejected by all. And, speaking of phony, consider that there are many people with accredited degrees that received a phony or inferior education. Just look at all the Gator football players that magically maintain the appropriate GPA, even though they have never scored higher than a D- on any test since kindergarten. By the way, this is why NBF is such a fan of the Gators--he feels superior because, having averaged a C- since kindergarten, he knows he is smarter.
