I was once told, by a former Ministries Director, from a neighboring state, If we take an out of state pastor, we have to send one of 'our' pastors back, as a replacement. Example:Tennessee Pastor in interested in a church in South Carolina. Great. He/She gets appointed. But the deal is.....once that happens, South Carolina has to then send a pastor back to Tennessee. Tennessee gave pastor, Tennessee gets a pastor.I've heard this is the way it works for years. The guy I was talking to implied it was pretty much the rule. However, I've seen lots of guys come to our state, without anyone from here leaving. And I've seen our guys leave.....without anyone from other states coming. Now, please understand, that's fine with me. I don't like the idea and am not advocating it. I just want some clarity on the subject. We have, or at least had, an unwritten policy that is sometimes enforced. Is it a thing, or not
