Is cheap grace the kind of grace you don’t have to pay high enough a price for?How do you define the term cheap grace?________________I’m not saved because I’m good. I’m saved because He’s good!My website: www.bradfreeman.comMy blog: bradcfreeman.tumblr.com/
grace that requires our minimum efforts or the best of our efforts. It is not the grace of God. It is grace by human efforts________________
cheap grace falls under the headings of easy believism and Lordship salvation. Two preachers represent both headings: Charles Stanley and John MacArthu________________
Nah – grace that is treated cheaply________________
either one or the other: grace by human efforts or God’s grace. One will get you to heaven and the other at best gets the applause of men________________
So you work for your grace?
…just to follow…
there is no grace that gets you to heaven that is achieved by human efforts________________
Nah – grace that is treated cheaply. Is grace treated cheaply that grace you offer God the filthy rags of your righteousness in exchange for________________I’m not saved because I’m good. I’m saved because He’s good!My website: http://www.bradfreeman.comMy blog: bradcfreeman.tumblr.com/
Atonement is substituted, propitiatory, penal sacrifice and there is no exchange made for redemption________________
Redemption is, by definition, Jesus paying the price to buy us out of death. As you said, there is no exchange or price we pay for redemption________________I’m not saved because I’m good. I’m saved because He’s good!My website: http://www.bradfreeman.comMy blog: bradcfreeman.tumblr.com/
The Father paid the price for reconciliation unto himself by the death of his own son. God’s faith in the blood of his son brought reconciliation unto himself. We offended his righteousness and Christ died in our place________________
I never knew there was ‘cheap Grace’, never heard of it. ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
There is no such thing as cheap grace, but folks are out there pushing it anyway. You’ve heard of it though, its another way of saying you can live any way you please, there is no such thing as sin once you believe. Bingo________________
I’m not saved because I’m good. I’m saved because He’s good________________
A few years ago the Lord began to teach me more about grace. I have heard preachers preach basically from the law most of my life. Jesus brought us into grace. Grace that is so amazing I have a hard time describing. On the other hand I have heard some preach what I call cheap grace. Some suggesting we never have to repent again. I don’t buy that. I repent more than I care to talk about. No-one can earn grave. I am saved by grace no works needed. But I cannot take advantage of grace. Shall we continue to sin. Certainly not. We are saved from sin. We are not saved and given the right to sin________________Recorded Sermons @ http://www.pastorwiley.com
The salvation plan covers the price needed to pay for sin, but it also provides the regenerating power of the Spirit to change what we are.The Cross covers what we did. The Spirit covers who we are. Cheap grace deals solely with the penalty being paid for our sins and talks little of living as new creations. Those who received the Spirit in Acts did not fall right back into a lifestyle of sin and say, But at least I’m saved by grace________________
