Let’s assume that liberal or conservative, Christian or non-believer, etc., are seeking to reform our nation so that all of our national policies were in full accord with the letter and spirit of the Bible.What would that look like?I think we know that abortion would not be on the table–or at least greatly restricted.Gay marriage would not be permitted. But how would we treat gays?Would the First Amendment suffer if we went by the Bible? Would we have universal health care?What would be the justifications of going to war? Would it affect our policy concerning global warming or pollution?
Does it work in real life? The Jews could not handle it over all.We do dream of a country that should have continued to be based on the 10 commandments. But even WE would like to pick and choose which laws would be handled strictly and those that would be smiled on.
