This got the ole timer to thinkin (which as you boys know, can sometimes be controversial) bout which model/method/style/paradigm/etc of preaching/teaching is the most effective.In your opinion, which of the following model/methods/styles/paradigms/etc is the most cutting edge, cool, relevant and missional way to present the gospel and communicate truth to a 21st audience:1. Little round table with a bottle of water settin on it, an a stool fer the speaker to set on.

Not true. Strange philosophy. The building is not the church but there’s nothing wrong with a clean manicured building. U need to go on a missions trip. Some have no building but when they r able to build, they take great pride in it.

Charles; Your town has a high income level and Charlotte N C has an average household income of $ 51,034 which of course means that over half make more than that. In Southern Illinois, in general a very poor area but a few had oil wells and they could set on their front porch and take in more money than they had ever dreamed of before. So this rich and poor thing has many ramifications.
What is your point?
My point is that is that so many people have become well-to-do in our time that they must be ministered too as well. That a few have become so rich that they want to share their wealth with certain preachers and ministries. When you scratch the surface of the K. Copeland and J. Duplantis ministries you will find that they have been underwritten by a few rich people. This is not to say that I don’t have the same feeling for the poor that you do, it’s just that everybody can’t be poor.
It is so difficult for a poor person to enter today’s kingdom

Surely they do
The $ 801.00 minimum salary is seldom met although in today’s economy anything less is not enough to meet all the needs of a modern family. Here we are talking about food, shelter, transportation, insurance, dental work and yes a little savings for emergencies . On the other hand when you get up into the 1 & 2 per-centers they may well get more than the chart suggests. Part of this stems from members making well into the six figures and feeling that their pastor deserves at least as much as they do.
Most smaller churches do not have that much left after bills r paid. It’s just a recommendation set by cost of living.
Thoes churches need to be shut down.
